Trans Healthcare Action is a trans-led grassroots community organisation building free, safe, local, self-determined care for trans people in Ireland.
We are developing a series of survival guides for trans people in Ireland, covering topics such as navigating the doctor’s office, accessing gender-affirming care, and self-medicating.
We are gathering information about which healthcare providers offer gender-affirming services to help us assess barriers and develop resources.
We collaborate with other grassroots and civil society organisations for collective action around trans health.
We believe that self-determination and bodily autonomy are intrinsic rights that trans people, like all people, are born to actualise.
We believe that the movement to transform trans healthcare must be led by and for trans people, upholding our knowledge and agency.
We believe that our collective power is amplified by forging resilient alliances and partnerships from the local to the global level.
We believe that the struggle for trans health justice is inseparable from broader movements for queer, racial, economic, and gender justice.
